For the third yr in a row, KCCK
Jazz 88.3 has celebrated the blues with a superb blues occasion in Cedar
Rapids known as ‘daBluesapalooza held at Olympic Southside
Theater. For practically 5 hours, the
blues was honored with performances by native and regional artists. The occasion was bought out and was an entire
success.
Funkatude, a funk band from Cedar Rapids gave a stellar efficiency
to begin the night off. A searing set of electrical blues from Billylee Janey and Bryce Janey as The Janeys
adopted. The music continued with D-Canine
& the BBits that includes Dennis “Daddy-O” McMurrin, Kat Blue
& The True Believers, Homebrewed, The Tanya English Band,
Matt Panek & the Electrical Kool Support Trio with particular visitor Johnny
Kilowatt, and Dr. Z’s Experiment.
It was an impressive night
of music. I definitely loved it.
