PhillyCheeze’s Rock & Blues Evaluations: #652 : Robert Connely Farr

Robert Connely Farr continues to intrigue me together with his darkish, ominous model
of blues.  Pandora Periods, his eleventh
launch, is devoted to the reminiscence of Mississippi bluesman RL. Boyce.  Farr initially from Bolton,
Mississippi, now resides in Vancouver, Canada.  His music is deeply rooted within the Bentonia,
Mississippi type of blues and splendidly honors his mentors Boyce,
and Grammy Nominee Jimmy “Duck” Holmes.  Based on Farr, this file is
modeled after gigs during which he performed together with Boyce and Holmes
in Bentonia.  They used classic
microphones and no matter was at hand.  Produced by Jay Bundy Johnson and
written by Farr, Pandora Periods has an unimaginable means of transporting
the listener by way of a magical portal to their very own private juke joint.

The topic of inevitable mortality
takes middle stage in “Everyone’s Dyin’” as Farr’s lyrics experience the wave
