Chicago noise-rock band Melkbelly are again with their first new music in over three years. The quartet has shared a 7″ single that includes the tracks “KMS Categorical” and “Valuable Cargo.” Hearken to the brand new songs under (by way of Exploding in Sound).
In response to Melkbelly drummer James Wetzel, “KMS Categorical” and “Valuable Cargo” had been created “immediately in response to the void of stay exhibits.”
Singer and guitarist Miranda Winters added:
It’s been nearly 4 years since Melkbelly’s final studio album, Pith. The band’s snarling 2020 rock album featured the notable tracks “Humid Coronary heart” and “LCR.” Since Pith, Melkbelly have been pretty quiet—partially as a consequence of the pandemic interrupting their document launch plans—apart from a contribution to Merely Having a Great Compilation, a vacation album organized by Father/Daughter and Wax 9 Data that includes Melkbelly’s cowl Everclear’s of “Hating You for Christmas.”
