As legendary host Pat Sajak prepares to retire in two months, Ryan Seacrest has stepped onto the Wheel of Fortune stage for the primary time in a brand-new promo spot.
The ten-second advert aired on ABC on Monday night time (April 8) throughout an episode of American Idol, which featured a cameo look from long-time Wheel letter-turner Vanna White.
White can also be featured within the new promo alongside a suited Seacrest, who appears in awe as he takes within the sport present set for the primary time.
“Wow!” the Idol host says as he walks alongside the long-lasting wheel.
White then flips over a puzzle that spells out Seacrest’s title. “Seems such as you’re prepared Ryan,” she says.
“Ryan Seacrest joins Vanna White this fall on Wheel of Fortune,” the voiceover provides. “New host, similar place.”
Sajak, who has been lead host since 1981 when he took over from former host Chuck Woolery, introduced his retirement final yr. His closing episode, which was recorded on April 5, will air on Friday, June 7.
“Properly, the time has come. I’ve determined that our forty first season, which begins in September, will probably be my final,” Sajak tweeted on the time. “It’s been a beautiful journey.”
Seacrest will formally take over for Season 42, which is scheduled to premiere in September 2024. White is about to stay on as his co-host.
